Refund policy

At Safer Sips, we take care to ensure every order is packed accurately and delivered safely. Please read the information below regarding returns, refunds, and replacements.
Change of Mind
Due to the personal safety nature of our products, we do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind, including if you ordered the wrong item or no longer require the product.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Opened or unopened CYD® test strips
- NightCap® drink covers
- Bundled or promotional packs
This policy is in place to ensure product integrity and customer safety.
Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items
We comply fully with Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement, refund, or repair if an item is:
- Faulty or defective
- Damaged in transit
- Incorrectly supplied
If you believe your item meets one of the above criteria, please contact us within 7 days of delivery at info@safer-sips.com.
Please include:
- Your order number
- Where the purchase was made
- A brief description of the issue
- Clear photos of the item and packaging (if applicable)
Once assessed, we will advise on the appropriate resolution.
Lost or Delayed Orders
If your order appears to be lost or significantly delayed, please contact us at info@safer-sips.com.
We will lodge an investigation with the shipping carrier (including Australia Post where applicable). Refunds or replacements for lost items will be issued only once the carrier has confirmed the item as lost.
Please note that delivery timeframes are estimates only and delays caused by the carrier, peak periods, or customs processing (for New Zealand) are outside our control.
Refunds
Approved refunds will be processed back to the original payment method used at checkout.
Please allow:
- 3–5 business days for us to process approved refunds
- Additional time for your bank or payment provider to reflect the funds
Shipping fees are non-refundable unless the item is confirmed as faulty or incorrectly supplied.
International Orders (New Zealand)
Refunds will not be issued for:
- Customs delays
- Import duties, GST, or other fees imposed by New Zealand authorities
- Orders returned to sender due to unpaid customs charges
These costs remain the responsibility of the customer.

CYD® Drink Spiking Tests are designed for personal analytical use only and are not a medical or diagnostic device. Results indicate possible drink tampering with certain substances and are not a substitute for professional toxicology testing.
