Safer Sips Appointed Exclusive Australian Distributor for StopTopps, a Leading Drink-Spiking Deterrent
Melbourne, Australia — 27/04/2026 — Safer Sips, a Melbourne-based company dedicated to reducing drink-spiking incidents and promoting safer social environments, today announced it has been appointed the exclusive Australian distributor for StopTopps, an innovative drink-protection solution designed to deter drink spikers in pubs, clubs, festivals, and hospitality venues.
StopTopps are versatile, single-use drink protectors that fit a wide range of drinking vessels commonly found in licensed venues — including cans, bottles, and glasses. Their simple, adaptable design provides an added layer of protection, helping individuals feel more confident and in control of their personal safety while socialising.

This initiative supports licensed venues in providing a discreet and effective way for anyone feeling unsafe, uncomfortable, or threatened to seek help from venue staff.
The Ask for Angela campaign—widely recognised internationally—allows patrons to use the code phrase “Is Angela working tonight?” to discreetly signal that they need assistance. Participating venues can then follow established safety protocols, such as providing a safe space, arranging transport, or contacting authorities if required.
By supplying these posters at no cost, Safer Sips and Stamp Out Drink Spiking aim to strengthen venue-based safety measures and ensure more Australians have access to immediate, confidential support when they need it most.
